How GATE 2025 Marks are Calculated?
Following the assessment of responses, the actual raw scores achieved by candidates will be utilized to calculate the GATE 2025 score. For subjects that are assessed in multiple sessions, the raw scores obtained by candidates in various sessions will be converted into normalized scores specific to that subject. Consequently, either raw scores (for single-session subjects) or normalized scores (for multi-session subjects) will be employed in the computation of the GATE 2025 score by the qualifying marks.
Normalized Process of GATE Exam Result 2025
Given that the GATE examination is administered in multiple sessions, a normalization process will be implemented to address any discrepancies in the difficulty levels of the question papers across these sessions. The normalization will be based on the fundamental premise that “the distribution of candidate abilities remains consistent across all sessions for all multi-session GATE 2025 papers.” This premise is valid due to the substantial number of candidates participating in multi-session papers for GATE 2025, coupled with the random allocation of sessions to candidates.
